The details worth recording
Record the exact product code, selected color and size, the chart attached to that item, the measurement method, fabric or construction claims, included pieces, and the date. Compare those garment measurements with a similar garment that already fits—not only with S, M, L, or a country conversion.
Catalog photos can help with shape and details, but they cannot establish fit for your body or prove material composition.

Record shape and construction evidence
Use neutral observations: neckline shape, closure type, visible lining, pocket position, seam placement, hem finish, print location, and whether branding appears applied or stitched. Treat fabric weight, fiber composition, waterproofing, or performance statements as claims unless supported by a responsible source.
For sets, list every included piece. For patterned garments, record placement variation if the listing acknowledges it.

Useful QC views may include the full front and back, label or code area, closure, print or embroidery, important seams, and a ruler placed at the same measurement points used in the chart. For shipping, ask whether hangers, retail boxes, or bulky protective packing are included.
