Understand actual and volumetric weight
Many services compare actual packed mass with a volumetric figure based on parcel dimensions and use a chargeable value under their own rules. Divisors, rounding, minimums, and oversize thresholds vary by carrier, route, and service, so do not reuse a formula without confirming the current method.
Ask for the actual dimensions and the calculation shown. A lighter but bulky parcel can cost more than a compact heavier parcel.

Pause if the provider will not state the service, chargeable basis, fee scope, or restrictions. Delivery times and customs outcomes are estimates and cannot be guaranteed by this guide.
