A quote needs more than a product code
Send the direct page and product code together with the exact option and quantity. Ask for currency, unit or lot basis, included pieces, excluded fees, minimum, availability context, and quote date or validity. Save the reply as a new version instead of replacing earlier numbers.
A code helps connect records, but reused, mistyped, or outdated codes still require a visual and option match.
Define the minimum complete quote record

Resolve a mismatch instead of averaging it
