Name the size system first
Save the direct page, item code, color, marked size, stated sizing system, the source of any length measurement, width notes, quantity, box choice, and review date. Ask whether the length refers to the foot, removable insole, internal space, or outsole before using it for comparison.
Do not convert sizes by memory alone. Conversions vary by model, system, and source.
Build a size record for the exact model
| Field | Example of a clear record | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| System | EU / US men's / US women's / UK / CN | The same number can mean different lengths |
| Marked size | The label visible on the pair | Connects photos to the option |
| Length basis | Foot, insole, internal, or outsole | Prevents unlike measurements |
| Width / shape | Narrow, regular, wide; source stated | Length alone may not describe fit |
| Tolerance | Stated measurement variation | Avoids false precision |
Check that the views describe one pair
For the selected color and size, compare the left and right shoe, lateral and medial sides, heel, toe, tongue or label, outsole, and any model-code area. Look for changes in background, lacing, lighting, or option details that suggest the set may combine different pairs.
These checks organize visual evidence; they do not authenticate a shoe or establish the condition of the pair that would be shipped.
Split mixed sizes and colors
Write each color-size combination on its own line with quantity and status. If a source confirms “available” without repeating the combinations, ask it to confirm the matrix rather than interpreting a general reply.
| Color | System / size | Qty | Box | Confirmation date |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| [color] | [system / size] | [qty] | With / without | [date] |
| [color] | [system / size] | [qty] | With / without | [date] |
Decide whether the box is part of the requirement
A retail box may add protection, dimensional weight, and packing volume. Removing it may reduce volume but changes what is included and may affect presentation or protection. Record the choice before comparing shipping estimates and ask how multiple pairs will be packed.
Do not assume “original box,” “replacement box,” and “no box” are interchangeable.
Ask one complete shoe question
Pause when the size system remains unnamed, the measurement basis changes, the photo set cannot be tied to the option, or the box choice is missing from a shipping comparison.
