Prepare five details before you message
Before contacting anyone, save the direct page, visible item code, exact option, quantity, and one unresolved field. Send those five parts in one factual message. When the reply arrives, label each detail as confirmed, changed, still missing, or applicable only to another option.
Do not send passwords, one-time codes, identity documents, payment credentials, or unrelated personal information in an initial product question.
Prepare the item packet before opening chat
| Field | Example | Ready? |
|---|---|---|
| Direct page | Full album or catalog URL | Required |
| Visible identity | Item code plus neutral description | Required |
| Option | Color, size, model, or set | Required |
| Quantity | Exact count or option matrix | Required |
| Missing field | One answer needed next | Required |
| Review date | Your current date | Recommended |
A screenshot can provide context, but it should accompany—not replace—the direct page and text identity.
Use a five-part first message
One complete question is easier to answer and audit than several greetings, screenshots, and follow-up fragments. Avoid claims such as “same as the photo” when you can name the exact detail.
Read the reply against the original page
- Confirmed: the reply repeats the exact code, option, quantity, and answer.
- Changed: a new code, price basis, minimum, source page, or option replaces the old record.
- Missing: the answer is general, partial, or avoids the requested field.
- Different option: the answer applies to another size, color, model, set, or quantity.
Save the date and channel. Do not silently overwrite a conflict; keep both versions until the responsible party explains it.
Keep the first exchange low risk
Stay on an authorized contact route linked from the page or another responsible source. Confirm identity and product details before discussing payment. Be cautious when someone immediately redirects you, changes the payee, asks for secrecy, or uses urgency to bypass basic questions.
An informative reply is not proof of seller identity, product quality, delivery, refund eligibility, or buyer protection.
Choose the next step from the answer
If identity and option are confirmed, continue to measurements, minimums, a complete quote, QC expectations, or a packed-shipment question—whichever uncertainty is now most important. If the first field cannot be resolved after a focused follow-up, pause the lead instead of expanding the conversation.
